Sturridge doing the Sturridge dance |
Liverpool have started off their season pretty much as well as they want it to be, winning three games in a row starting off with a 1-0 victory against the arguably poor Stoke City following with Aston Villa and the fiesty encounter with Manchester United with the same scoreline. Daniel Sturridge has been in tremendous form lately, banging in all three goals in the 1-0 wins in the 3 respective games and also scoring one of the goals during the 2-2 against Swansea in the fourth week. He is proving to be a threat to be reckoned at Anfield and a huge favorite indeed among the Liverpool fans. Since joining Liverpool from Chelsea in early 2013, he has never failed to shine in all the games he has featured and has been the main man for Liverpool ever since Luis Suarez got suspended for 10 games for biting Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea. Luis Suarez, who is serving a 10 match ban is on the fringe of returning and could even start in the match against Manchester United in the Capital One Cup third round in Old Trafford. The combination of Luis Suarez and Danile Sturridge will prove to be a massive threat to all the teams and its time to witness some real life raping in football when these two are played together in the field. And also not to forget, the brazillian magic man, Phileppe Coutinho also a massive threat in the team and at such a young age, his playing ability, momentum, stability and aggression is absolutely phenomenal. He is such a great all rounder, skillful, tactical minded and whenever he's on the ball, you can expect something interesting and eye catching to happen. Coutinho's arrival from Inter Milan has boosted some problems in Liverpool in the sense, that coutinho's addition has widened the wing side, giving more pace and attacking options. Coutinho, also a great passser of the ball, as most of his assist are pin point and inch perfect. Most of Sturridge's goal has come from the assists made from Coutinho which is totally staggerring and brilliant. Steven Gerrard, may not be in the youth category as the rest, but he is still a great force and a great mastermind indeed in the team. He is such a sightful person that still delivers inch perfect passes just like always. Stevie may not have the full fitness he used to have, but he is still a great footballer and a true living legend. Liverpool lost their first match of the season against Southampton at Anfield, sadly which happens to be a poor performances by the reds. Southampton edged Liverpool by one goal and a string of saves from Simon Mignolet denied Southampton to increase the deposit which it could have been even worse for the Reds. Coutinho, out because of the shoulder injury he suffered during the 2-2 draw against Swansea, was heavily missed as his pace and attacking ability lacked in this defeat to Southampton. He will be back by the end of November.
He's back and even better of course |
